Welcome to West Corinth Elementary School! The faculty and staff at West Corinth want you to know that we are excited about teaching the children of Corinth, MS, and will do our very best to provide a curriculum of basic skills and concepts to further the growth and development of children of varying economic and cultural backgrounds, age levels, and abilities. Academic and social development activities are planned to help each child achieve according to his/her potential. Our school continues to participate in a school-wide program, “Kindness is Contagious.” We believe our society is lacking in such traits as kindness, compassion, and respect, we want to embark on a campaign to infiltrate our community with kindness. Our curriculum, “ABC Integrity Time, “ emphasizes character traits presented in ABC order. Each week we celebrate the acquisition of these with special events such as parades, lunches, movies, and special guests. We implore parents, students, relatives, and friends to join this kindness campaign as we make a difference in a positive way in our society. We look forward to working and teaching your children the fundamentals to help them achieve socially, academically, and physically in the world around them. We can make these early years the best of your child’s life if we work together to see them succeed! Summer Reading and Writing Program 2010

This summer our upcoming First Graders will be encouraged to read and write.  The students will read books and then complete a writing activity about the book or books they read in order to win prizes in the fall.  Children love to read and be read to.  Please give your child a chance to experience the world through the pages of a book.  For more information  please visit the link below.  There you will find the information needed to get your child reading and writing!  Enjoy your summer and Happy Reading!
